Healing through story
I believe in the power of stories. Why? Because I have experienced my own freedom through the stories of others. When we tell each other our experiences, share our wisdom and express our places of vulnerability, transformation happens.
I was born and raised in the North Bay Area, California among apple trees and vineyards. I've been singing as long as I can remember and playing guitar since I was 12 (much to my sister's chagrin). I am proudly queer (homophobes and transphobes begone!) and have two young kids, along with two cats and two guinea pigs. Aside from music, gardening is my sanity saver.
I earned a Bachelor's degree in Music from Azusa Pacific University in 2006 and have lived and worked as a musician ever since. I have been a performer, church musician, worked in live sound scenarios, recording, and in education. All of these experiences have given me a sharp ear, honed technical skills and an understanding of how we connect to and learn from one other through the artistic medium. I'm committed to making your project the best that it can be, because all stories deserve to be told.
